36 hours per week - £16,376 pa (£16,832 pa - full time equivalent)
Nights and Weekend Day Shifts

The Schemes (The schemes are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year)

Clifton Place: A supported housing scheme for homeless adults (over 16).The scheme houses as a minimum 29 individuals (this can include families)

Albert Street: A supported housing scheme for homeless adults (over 18). The scheme houses 25

Clarence Place: A supported housing scheme for adults (over 18) who have complex needs (dual diagnosis) including mental health issues, substance misuse & criminal offending history. The scheme houses 26 and is currently in transition to becoming a psychologically informed environment.

Riverview: A 10 bed unit comprising of general needs supported in the day via floating support and evening and weekend support to 3 complex flats.

What will you do?

You will provide a consistent approach to support for vulnerable people, helping them make a transition into independent living. Additionally, you will provide advice with budgeting and money management as well as providing support in a practical way, with regards to day to day living skills. You will assist the Project Worker in the day to day running of the scheme as well as supporting the project worker to with group based activities designed to build people`s skills. You will be part of a Project Team covering a 24/7 rota working 12 hour nights and weekend days.

When you are confident in your role you will be asked to deliver group based activity without project worker support.

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
• Experience of working face to face with vulnerable adults

This is an entry level position at Solas Cymru as such it would be beneficial if you will have experience of working within an environment supporting vulnerable adults, however we are happy to consider people from outside the sector with excellent core values and transferrable skills. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work on your own initiative in a busy and dynamic role.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce written reports and monitoring information as required. You will also possess the following skills: Time Management, Problem Solving, Relationship Building, be organised, and ideally have knowledge of Benefits, Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol.
