They have an in house learning academy that can help you with CPD and specialist interests. There is an extended cooperation with NHS facilities and Research Institutes for doctors who wish to go out of programme to study for other qualifications such as clinical management degrees.

Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced Oncology/Haematology doctor to provide risk management and be part of a medical team to assess patients within the day care and outpatient settings. This is a rotational post between day care, outpatients and Oncology & Haematology Ward.

Location: London
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 9am - 6pm (Days only)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday

• Present and contactable within the day care and outpatient settings at all times.
• Examining and reviewing patients when required/requested by the nursing staff or Consultants
• Responsibility for prescribing of medicines to take home (TTOs).
• Initiating routine requests and treatments with the prior consent of the consultants, undertake certain medical procedures as required including bone marrow biopsies
• Providing urgent medical attention and urgent treatment to staff or visitors in case of accident tor sudden illness in liaison with the senior nurse on duty.
• Communicating any medical problems or concerns to Consultants
• Undertaking emergency procedures as required, taking the lead as necessary
• Assisting in the admission process/transfer of patients to the inpatient ward including clerking the patient
• Maintaining clinical notes on all patients attended; notes should be legible, dated, timed and signed.
• Attending departmental meetings
• Taking part in ward audits, education, training and research to continuous improve and strive for excellence, for staff and patients.

Skills & Experience

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Fully Registered with the GMC
• Successful completion of MRCP or equivalent ( Desirable )
• Evidence of achievement of CT/ST1&2 competencies in a medical specialty
• Advanced Life Support Training
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Good working knowledge of IT and computer databases
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Outstanding Team Player
